PRINCIPAL JUSTIN HOERING
Welcome to Blackhawk Middle School, home of the Eagles! I am excited to serve as your principal and lead our school community through another year of growth, learning, and achievement. With a passion for education and a focus on student success, I am proud to work with our dedicated staff, engaged families, and talented students.
My journey as an educator began right here at Blackhawk Middle School as a Language Arts teacher. That firsthand experience provided me with invaluable insights into the strengths and aspirations of both students and staff at Blackhawk. Additionally, I am proud to share that I am a graduate of both Blackhawk Middle School and Snider High School.
In the years since teaching at Blackhawk, I have been expanding my experience in educational leadership. I served as the K-12 English/Language Arts Curriculum Coordinator for FWCS, where I dedicated myself to instructional excellence, curriculum development, and professional learning throughout the district. My tenure in this role sharpened my ability to implement innovative teaching strategies and ensure alignment with academic standards, all with the aim of empowering students to reach their full potential.
I then stepped into building leadership as an Assistant Principal at both the elementary and secondary level. These experiences deepened my understanding of school administration and instilled in me a steadfast commitment to serving the needs of all students. Now, it’s a privilege to return to Blackhawk as principal, leading the school that gave me my start.
When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love to play sports, take trips, and enjoy quality time together. I also have two dogs, who are an important part of our family. In my free time, you’ll often find me coaching one of my kids’ sports teams, dabbling in photography and graphic design, or finding new ways to stay active.
I am motivated by seeing students grow—not just academically but as individuals. Watching a student overcome a challenge, discover a new passion, or develop confidence in their abilities is what drives me each day. I believe that every child deserves to feel valued, safe, and supported, and it is my goal to ensure that each student at Blackhawk Middle School has that experience.
