Learning & Creativity Spaces
Art Room
The updated art room gives students the space and resources to explore creativity through drawing, painting and hands-on projects. With improved lighting and organization, the room allows student artwork to be proudly displayed.
Music Rooms
Blackhawk’s remodeled music rooms offers students a large space to practice, rehearse and perform. The improved design supports band, orchestra and general music classes to help support our fine arts programs.
Classrooms
Our remodeled classrooms provide bright learning environments where students can stay engaged and focused. Updated layouts and technology support collaboration, discussion and a variety of teaching styles, helping students succeed academically.
TV Studio
The TV studio provides students with opportunities to explore broadcasting, video production and digital storytelling. This space allows students to develop communication and technical skills while working together on creative projects and school announcements.
Community Spaces
Hallways
Refreshed hallways throughout the school highlight Blackhawk’s school colors, blue and red, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. Our building uses these spaces showcase student work and school spirit to help make our student body and staff feel more connected.
Cafeteria
The updated cafeteria offers a comfortable and modern space where students can enjoy meals and connect with friends. The improved design supports a positive lunchtime experience and serves as an important gathering space within the school community.
Student Services & Support Spaces
Functional Skills Teaching Kitchen
The teaching kitchen is a hands-on learning space where students can practice cooking and essential life skills. Designed with accessibility and safety in mind, the kitchen helps students build independence, confidence and real-world skills they can use beyond school. Items made in the kitchen are also sold alongside our Coffee Cart (also ran by our functional skills students) to staff once a week.
Locker Rooms
The renovated locker rooms provide clean, functional spaces that support physical education classes, athletics and extracurricular activities.
