Art Room

The updated art room gives students the space and resources to explore creativity through drawing, painting and hands-on projects. With improved lighting and organization, the room allows student artwork to be proudly displayed.

Music Rooms

Blackhawk’s remodeled music rooms offers students a large space to practice, rehearse and perform. The improved design supports band, orchestra and general music classes to help support our fine arts programs.

Classrooms

TV Studio

The TV studio provides students with opportunities to explore broadcasting, video production and digital storytelling. This space allows students to develop communication and technical skills while working together on creative projects and school announcements.

Hallways

Refreshed hallways throughout the school highlight Blackhawk’s school colors, blue and red, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. Our building uses these spaces showcase student work and school spirit to help make our student body and staff feel more connected.

Cafeteria

Gym

The remodeled gym serves as a central gathering place for athletics, assemblies and school-wide events. With updated features and bold school colors, the gym reflects Blackhawk pride while supporting student participation and teamwork.

Functional Skills Teaching Kitchen

The teaching kitchen is a hands-on learning space where students can practice cooking and essential life skills. Designed with accessibility and safety in mind, the kitchen helps students build independence, confidence and real-world skills they can use beyond school. Items made in the kitchen are also sold alongside our Coffee Cart (also ran by our functional skills students) to staff once a week.

Front Office & School Nurse

The remodeled front offices create a welcoming and organized entry point for students, families and visitors. The updated layout improves  our communication, efficiency and accessibility while reflecting the school’s pride through its blue and red colors.
